NEWS:

September,2008

We took most the summer off due to the extreme heat. Now we are gearing up for the 2008 North American Sieger Show. I am honored to serve as the Chair of this great event. Entries are very strong and the caliber of dogs is worldclass.

11 Countries, 38 States, 3 Provinces and 1 Breed-Lexington, Kentucky
October  2008!

The North American Sieger Show has truly become North America's Premiere German Shepherd Event.

June 9 , 2008

Charlie Starr and his team have pulled off a tremendous event hosting the Great Lakes Regional Show and Breed Survey. This one is for the record books.

Effu' Haus Spreitler - VP7
Dee Haus Spreitler - VP9
Ditch Haus Spreitler - VP6
Selma v. Wutachtal - V5
Jeron Stan Hrad - G1 and KKL2

We are very proud of our placings. The caliber of entries was unbelievable for a Regional Event. The highlight of the event was the Working Female class. We congratulate all the breeders and owners for thier showing.

May 24, 2008

We have returned from the wonderful trial hosted by the TN Volunteer Schutzhund Club in Franklin, KY. SVF David Landau was the judge and as always did a tremendous job. Rony was High Schutzhund 3, not hard when there is only one 3 entered. Rony and I also survived the AD, uphill both ways for 12 miles. It was a great weekend. Now we begin our earnest work for his breed survey.

May 19, 2008

We just received Rony's OFA Hip Report - Rated OFA Good at 64 months of age. Getting the big boy ready for his breed survey.

May 5, 2008

Well May sure has gotten off to a wet start. I have to comment on our two E males, Effu and Einstein, sired by VA Gorbi v. Kirchenwald. Great young males, wonderful bone and substance, good color and tons of drive. Looking forward to getting this two boys out for training when they age a bit.

GSDCA-WDA Nationals are only a few days away. Looking forward to the trip to New Jersey and seeing the very best compete.

April, 2008

Rony earns his Schutzhund 3 at the Kentucky Bluegrass Schutzhund Trial. Charlie Starr's club did a wonderful job hosting this event in blustery, cold and wet weather. Mr. and Mrs. Fu are the ultimate hosts. First time out for Danny to trial and he survived. Of course, he was the victim of much good natured ribbing from the Jeff Lund and Josh Schutt. Special thanks to Cindy for getting Danny ready for the trial. If she can train Danny she can train anyone!

January 15, 2008

Our E litter is beginning to show the promise we expected. We will be posting pictures this weekend.

January 7, 2008

Bil Jac update: We have now completed three months feeding our dogs Bil Jac and all I can say is WOW. We are sold on Bil Jac. Our dogs have tremendous energy, great coats and every dog young and old likes the food.

Hound Walker Update: This has been a comedy of errors. As of this morning the Hound Walker is not working. The controller box is defective. And being the holidays no one has returned our calls for the last week. We will keep you posted.

December 1, 2007

Team Spreitler loaded up the dogs and headed south to Sunrise, Florida to attend one of the best Trials/Show/Breed Surveys we have ever attended. The Broward Schutzhund Club is amazing. It was a great weekend and trialing/showing under SV Judge Rudiger Mai is always a pleasure. Rony scored an 88 in the TR3. He missed the first article but really pulled it together for the balance of the track. Coke and Connie vom Haus Spreitler were both VP1 in their class. We continue to have very high expectations for our C Litter. Cindy scored an 84 in her Obedience 2 routine with Holli vom Agassiz.

Breeding

We have bred our Lee von Kuramathi, SchH2, KKL1a to VA Gorbi von Kirchenwald. This litter is linebred on the great V Wallace aus Agrigento. Litter is expected in late January, 2008. We are accepting limited reservations for this litter.

October 23, 2007

Happy Birthday to the Angel of Team Spreitler, Taylor D. Spreitler.

We are now accepting deposits on our D Litter. This litter is the most promising litter we have in 2007. The dam is Hexi v.d. Noriswand and the sire Vico v. Farbenspiel. This litter will go to homes who desire the Total Dog.

October 21, 2007

At long last we have finished the installation of our Hound Walker by Centaur Hot Walkers. As would be the case, as soon as we finished the installation the rain set in. Looks like we are in for a week of rain. We will update you soon on our training program using the Hound Walker.

October 15, 2007

WOW! We have just wrapped up the North American Sieger Show and the quality of German Shepherds was phenomenal. The progeny groups were the highlight of the event. TeeJay, Gorbi, Hoss, Liedo, Albert and Ulko were all represented very well. Herr Mayer commented that he was surprised by the quality presented at the show. I suggest that you talk to the stud owners before breeding. Not all lines work with the studs. Congratulations to Tee Jay von Wilhendorf (Nero vom Nöbachtal x Isys von Wilhendorf) as the North American Sieger!. TeeJay is owned, trained and loved by John Henkel. The Siegerin for 2007 is the stunning Clarissa Blue Iris (Silvio des Collines du Boischaut x Tracy Blue-Iris) owned by Walter Kotters.

October 1, 2007

After much soul searching and a tremendous amount of research we are changing our dog's food. We have been using Bil Jac on a few of our younger dogs and they are excelling in muscle and coat development. We are now moving our entire program to Bil Jac. We will keep you updated.
